I am from the US, but am living in El Salvador as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I met a Salvo woman on the beach selling beers in a bakini. She started talking w/ me and we exchanged numbers. We met a couple of times in the nearest city to where I live and before I new it she said she wanted to be my girlfriend.

Things are good when we're together. The thing is that she didn't return my calls or answer the phone when I tried calling her 2 or 3 times last week. She also didn't respond to texts. We've made plans for her to come to my house, but she backed out b/c of family issues or we decided to go to a movie - which we made out during.

We've been together a "offically" for a little over two weeks. I talked to her about not returning my calls and such and she said she was sick. I called her and she picked up after this week. She asked if I thought she didn't like me anymore and she said, "yo te quiero" - which means "you I want." She then asked me "who has love for you?"

She never calls and doesn't seem interested, but says she is. Today she said she was going to another town and would stop by where I live on her way and then text and said she had to go to that town first. She said she'd tell me when she was coming back, but never did.

I'm tired of being the one to call her. What's up with her not calling or even answering the calls or responding to texts? I'm thinking about ending it with her, but I really feel a connection with her - plus she's a model and shit.

Any advice on how to keep this relationship going? How do I get her chasing me and such?

I should add that we normally only see each other once or twice per week and we haven't seen each other for over a week - because of her non-response. Plus, we just meet at the mall - every damn time which gets boring - because there is nothing to do in this country and the city is really unsafe and not culturally rich.
