My ex-oneitis wants me back. I 'got lucky' in high school and dated her for 5 years, but broke up with her after things went pear shaped a couple years ago. She's probably an 8 but considering her smarts, family, and social status she's a very rare woman.

I've slept with and dated other women since... I'm no longer obsessed about her, and we maintained a strong friendship. Funnily enough I can directly correlate that absence of obsession with her becoming attracted again!

So, I have several choices. The easiest is to take her back; in which case I am pretty confident things would be great. I was prepared to marry her before, the only difference now is I know of the game and may always wonder what adventures I could have had.

I also thought about telling her about my interest in the community and that I wanted to master this before settling down. This would really mess with her but on the other hand she would certainly see the value of for example Styles transformation, which I believe was fully illustrated about 2/3 through the book at his party. This leaves all my options open, but at the same time, reduces my motivation to master the game since I know I already have a decent woman.

Or, I simply LJBF her (she makes a great friend), master the game and find another 'perfect' woman.

I'm leaning toward option 2. Does anybody have experience with women's reactions to the community?

You broke up with her, how do you know that this won't happen another 5 years down the line (think of how rusty/out of training) you will be you won't have this success instantly:

I take half the blame for what happened, as I was too inexperienced to manage the relationship well. Pretty sure I know what I am doing know, and could steer a relationship through those pitfalls, though who knows maybe something new would come up in 10 years

Although, I remember at one point hearing the idea that if you ever wanted to guarantee a successful marriage eventually, you need tonnes of experience managing relationships, and the best way to get that is to learn PU. That struck a chord with me. TBH I think shes smart enough she'd see the value too; but I don't know how a girl would react to effectively, "I want to fuck around a tonne and then we can see if things work out."
