I love my girlfriend and I trust her for the most part but one of her best friends is a guy and I know he is in love with her because she told me he told her he loved her one drunken night before we even met....now they hang out alone all the time which bugs me but the thing that bugs me the most is that I know he doesnt like me! he has no reason to not like me but in his eyes I took the love of his life from him. He never comes off as a jack ass but I caught a txt he sent her saying "He's a nice guy but he's seem feminine" now that shit set me off! because 1# im not at all! and 2# he's met me once. He is clearly trying to act nice but make me look bad so how do I deal with this? Also I know he loves her and I want to let her know Im not cool with them hanging out alone....the only problem is they are close family friends and he is tight with her whole family so Im gunna come off like the dick.

P.s I really dont think she would cheat on me but the fact that they talk about me and she laughed as a reply to his txt and didnt defend me pissed me right off! I feel like cracking this guys teeth through the back of his neck but of course that would not help me. If he send txt about me then I wonder what he says when they hang out face to face....

Firstly, you seem very insecure and you're checking her inbox and then her sent items lol.. That's not too good. The Fact that she didn't defend you though isn't a good sign. How long have you been with this girl for?

Heh, I remember you, interesting to see how things are going. You stand to get a lot of good experience out of this situation, be thankful for it! A lot of people simply have nothing going on at all.

In my experience, the urge to punch him comes from a feeling of a lack of control.

First thing you have to embrace is the idea that if you are doing all the right things as far as you know, then there are only ever 3 outcomes;
1. Because you are doing the right things, she will stay with you - his AFC efforts to try and say negative things about you will actually back-fire.
2. She doesn't feel personally attracted to you or feels its time to move on and wants to see someone else, in which case there's nothing there for you anyway - nothing you can do can force her to be attracted to you.
3. You are already doing all you can but it's possible there's something else you could have done, but you don't know what it is, in which case - you can't do what you can't know, so just pay attention and continue learning. You wouldn't abuse a plant for not growing fast enough, so you shouldn't kick yourself for not being able to to exactly the right thing - focus the energy on solving the problem instead.

I'm at a point where if it looks like some girl is pathetically going back to her ex even though they already broke up badly before seeing me, I get more turned off and start to feel like "Have him. I have other options." I lose respect for them for not having the drive to move forward. I don't have time for people who don't want to help themselves.
