My girlfriend of 2 1/2 Months recently got out of a 1 Year relationship(basically jumped from that relationship to ours) with her first Boyfriend/lover. (She said she loved him, but not anymore.)
Basically, the problem is that she is scared to get 'close' to me because she doesn't want to get hurt again.
In my opinion, I think she feels pressured to like me more(we still just say "I like you) because we see each other almost everyday and spend lots of time together. But I really don't know what to say/do. Your help would be appreciated.

I absolutely hate these type of scenarios and it's seems to be a pretty common one. My most recent girlfriend had finished a 10 year relationship a year before she met me, she'd had other relationships during that in-between period, but she just told me that 'they only ever lasted a few weeks at the most' (I didn't think much of it at the time, but it should have rang alarm bells). Anyway, our relationship was going absolutely perfect - we had everything in common, the same sense of humour etc... she used to drive 200 miles just to see me, then I went to see her one weekend, we got even closer (if you know what I mean) and the rest of the weekend was brilliant. Then I returned home very happy after the weekend and got a text message out of the blue saying something like 'I'm sorry, but I run when people get too close, it's happened in the past. We can never be together.' I felt like such a dickhead! All the alarm signals were there lol.

All you can do is let things take a natural progression and don't push for anything. Good luck mate.
