The Game by Neil Strauss is actually about him penetrating and describing the PU community. The book itself doesn´t give a detailed description of the techniques used. For that you should read the handbook of Venusian Arts by Mystery or Double your Dating by David deAngelo. Also check out Ross Jeffries´ theories about NLP.
All of them describe a different way of picking up women, no doubt all of them work. What I do is combine all 3 techniques depending on the situation. I recommend reading everything you can get your hands on when it comes to PU-ing. Better too much knowledge than too little.....

im fininshing the game now. and i bought a book called the art of seduction (is this a good one i havent been able to open it up yet)? im new and i want to learn i know some pua jargon like wingman kino ,ect. but i still dont know wut nlp is or wut it stands for is there a thread on terminology? The only pattern I have any interest in learning is the October Man Sequence. My experience and all 'round common sense tells me that it's probably not nearly as effective as the select few who have it make it out to seem. But when some piece of knowledge is billed as the most "evil of them all", natural human curiosity screams to be quenched lol.

I think like most people, a combination of all the techniques seems to work the best.

I've just started out but I think once you have tried a few different moves you will find the ones which work best for you. The neg thing is really working for me at the mo!

I've started reading "How to succeed with women" in addition to having already read "the Game". I'm finding that using a combinations of all sources and techniques available is a great way to go about learning the art of a PUA. I like to take a bit from each, and use what I like while still not changing who I am.
