Hey ya all..
In this short message I propose a neat way to better understand the 4 NLP-types:
- Visual
- Auditory
- Kinaesthetic
- Digital
Great! Now, imagine you are in the swimming hall. And picture this:
- We notice the visual types standing tall at the jumping ground, from 1M, 3M, 5M, 10M, etc. They enjoy full overview of the place as a whole. Hyper-visual people climb high and do not pay much attention to details from the roof of the place.
- We meet the auditory splashing under the water. They go into dialogue with funny details at the bottom of the swimming area. Also, they easily drift as the underwater streams lead them. Hyper-auditory people go deep into detail at have trouble getting out again.
- Kinaesthetic types greet us as they stand having fun and meeting new people at the shore of the place. They throw toys into the water and help the people jumping from above. Hyper-aesthetic people are having a party and merging different groups of people in the swimming hall.
- Digital types have the responsibility. They open the place. And close it down. They organisere, plan og carry out. They like talking about organizational matters with guests. Hyper-digital people go crazy in front of the computer screen at the office sweating at the practical issues at hand, but they love it.
Between the jumping ground, the pool of water, the shore and the office we find the common ground of communication.
If Mystery and Style were to participate as well, they might be the ones trying to help and save guests from drowning. Lifeguards.
Thanks to LumberJack for developing this scheme.
