Hey, an anchor is a visual way to bind her attention and thus her emotions/feelings on to you. For example-talking to her, standing over a chair, gesturing with hands, you say something along the lines of-"isn't it great when you have those initial feelings and thoughts when you 1st meet a person (NB;raising 1 hand) and you decide right there and then whether that person is for you,(raising your other hand up before grasping chair and sitting down-thus you 'anchor those pre-suppositions/thoughts onto the chair and then YOU sit on it-thus visually and emotionally tagging yourself!!) that enters your mind".
Please see Ross Jeffries full explanattion on one of his blogs at his site for a fuller understanding... :D

At first this was confusing to me, too.

Think of anchors as a conditioned reflex - to "set an anchor" is to associate an action you do (touch, verbal, etc) with a feeling/action someone else is having/doing at the time.

"Firing the anchor" is just to repeat your action in order to get the person to have/do that feeling/action again.

Example - Pavlov's famous dog trick was to train dogs to associate food with the sound of a bell ringing. After a while, they would salivate when he rang the bell - even though there was no food.

"Setting the anchor" was creating the food-bell association.

"Firing the anchor" was when he rang the bell.

By setting and firing anchors you can change the state of the person you are talking to.
