definitely a fail for western cultures, but I'm not going to judge for china. It may be a poor translation, and/or, the social dynamics in china may be so very different that it's just hard to judge. you can't really assume the cultures are going to be the same.

The social dynamics are different and there is a different 'vibe' when it comes to how you interact with people but the overall idea is the same:

Be friendly, non threatening, fun and not needy - people will be attracted to you.

Tango asking that girl for her number and suggesting coffee isn't very good or isn't very good 'game' BUT if the girl is attracted to him and feels secure enough (qualified/has some comfort) then it doesn't matter what he says - she will see him again.

95% of Chinese PUA's 'game' is direct and goes like this:


Hey i saw you, thought you were beautiful and seem unique/special, maybe if you have time we could have coffee together sometime, may i have your number?

They have this fked up idea that they can just go direct, N close as fast as possible and then try to build attraction, qualify and build comfort via the phone.

Also Qualification is different in Asia - vastly different to how it works in the West.

I am not Asian but i have extensive experience in 'Asian' PUA (both picking up Chinese girls and teaching Chinese guys how to pick up Chinese girls).


For anyone who has a reasonable amount of experience - you know that the opener doesn't really matter/isn't a big deal - whats important is that you are non threatening, have an obvious reason to be talking to them (that the target can understand) and that you can transition off your opener well.

Two guys can open with the exact same opener "hi would you mind if I got your number and we could get coffee sometime"

..and they can be totally different. One can be seeking rapport where it sounds like a question and is a bit more needy. The other can be breaking rapport where his voice gets deeper toward the end and is more dominant. I could open with that and make it fun
