That was impressive. The judges hit the nail on the head though, it was his cocky and arrogant attitude that made him so likeable. He was able to signal the audience with no fear and prepare them for what was to come next just by using slight hand signals. The hand signals were done in a very cocky way and we all see the results they produced. This guy is just overall confident.

The guy wasn't really arrogant. That "saluting the fans" gesture is a well know joke-gesture. When someone prize you for something you rise your hands like you're thanking to the public.. this is basically a joke, he just did it on the stage.
That person is not arrogant.

PS: The judge made a comment on that anyway because it's their job to make comments so of course they comment on the obvious things.
