It's self sabotage. Instead of trying it out and having fear of being rejected, they accepted the (false) reality that they have no hope and it's not their fault. I've never had a video motivate me so much. I've seen the eric thomas and other motivational videos like that about never giving up. For some reason I got more motivation from this that some people actually give up.

Watched this video a long time ago when someone posted it on the misc.

A part of you really wants to help these guys but from my experience, the more you try to help them, the more you get dragged down with them. Like I saw the one with the guy who has long hair and talks about face is 95% of everything. A part of me wanted to reach out to that guy and help him, maybe he didn't have your normal childhood, maybe he was bullied, and maybe his parents never cared. Yet on the other hand I know what I risk when I try to help a guy like that.

1. He will probably push his limiting beliefs on to me and others trying to help
2. He will probably ruin the mood in good situations so if everyone is having a good time he will bring his negativity into it
3. He will most likely act weird and the fact that you associate with him will result in your reputation being ruined

Then I thought back to why so many people on this forum were hard on me as I was bitching about race and my life, because I was polluting the forum with my negative beliefs which were rubbing off of on others.

Every part of you will fight self-improvement and attack the guy trying to help you. As people, we want to stay in our misery more because it is comfortable.

Now in the case of the guy posting the video, it is more comfortable to sit down, whine about women, and talk about how genetics determine everything. Going to the gym, lifting weights, eating clean, and developing a healthy lifestyle are something that not only take work but habits that take time to be perfected. Rather than admitting that they are wrong, these guys protect their ego by saying stuff how genetics determine everything (and to an extent they do).

In my case, I am so happy that I am a far cry from the guy I was when I first came to this forum but without a doubt I have a long way to go. Having been there, I have realized that the hardest part of it all is taking action and doing something.

Misery is comfort but Happiness requires effort.
