Yestday on way home I approached a a beautiful red head girl that works in city restaraunt ,she was going opposite way. Now I have said hi to her before but nothing more. Anyway as she was walking by I raised my hand up in high five gesture. She took earphones off (maybe ioi?)and shook hands with me. I immediately said I was in hurry and then sort of negged her by saying "Your name is Joyce isnt it" she said no its Kate (another ioi?) . I used connection statements about her job and she opened up about how she felt under pressure in work cause her company in Examinership. As she was talking more about work I negged about her accent saying it was weird American whilst smiling and she said no she was born in England(another ioi?).Finally I said again I had to go cause your boring me (with smile) and negged her about her name again by saying , whats ure name again, its Joyce isnt it ,and she said again no its Kate, and we both smiled and went.

My point being I felt I did well there by holding back on asking for number, cause I know where she works, she gave me her name, and I listened and made her smile too. So what Im thinking is that when I see her again, she will remember that I wasnt too pushy with her and asked about her feelings. Maybe second time around I will ask for number or try arrange drink.

Are you trolling?

1) You posted in wrong section.
2) What the hell are you doing man? You negged too much and now you look like a dick. Tbh you only negged if what you wrote was the whole conversation. Jeez.
3) Her answering your question is not an IOI.

1. I agree with the guy above, it's normal to get an answer to your questions, so no it's not an IOI. (BUT the way she answers, her bodylanguage, can be an IOI!)

2. A little too much negs indeed, & I hope your last joke (It was Joyce isn't it & your boring me) was done with a big smile on your face, cuz then it'd have been a pretty good joke. (But if you see her again, don't joke about that again)

3. Keep teasing, but also be positive (showing interest). Also VERY important with teasing is to keep a playfull smile on your face.

4. And why is the thread exactly called 'Not asking for number at first approach'..?

That were a few fast criticisms, because I haven't much time, hope you do something with it!

Thanks for reply lads.

She totally opened up when talking to me so didnt feel I negged too much, she smiled every time I negged.

If you know where a girl works lets say, I think when u first approach her it comes off much less needy if you dont ask for number, make her laugh though and walk, keeps her intigued.

Thanks guys
