Before I kick this off, I want to point out that I am not suggesting this is great game. There is a lot in the clips below that can be criticised, particularly from a non verbal communication point of view.
I wanted to post these clips of erm... ‘openers’ I suppose, that I do with the guys from time to time that often work beautifully and it’s about time we shared it. It has good points and it has bad points, take from it what you will.
NOTE: We do this mainly for state control – do this 10 times and go into a bar and your energy will be high. The fact that it is a good opener, or has some aspects within it that opens sets is just a bonus.
Finally – it’s great for opening street sets of high energy party girls. So if you see 7 girls all dressed up in angels wings, or on some kind of hen night, this is the kind of opener they want.
Again we do this mainly just to get the energy up.
This is very interesting stuff and it’s the closest thing I have ever experienced in terms of ‘dynamite fool-proof opener’. It’s not, nothing is, but the return you get on your investment here is going to be very, very rewarding.
Before I go any further please note this works just OK in London where there are a lot of people doing crazy things. Outside London this is often atomic opening and will literally blow sets wide open. These clips were filmed in Malaga.
These clips weren’t the best examples; they’re just the ones we got on film at a good enough quality to show. Only on watching them did we think to post them.
The process is thus.
You get your crew together and split into 1 photo taker or camera man and the rest are ‘walkers’. In these clips we have two cameramen though. We had an extra man (Johnny Wisdom) filming it for you guys. You won’t need this extra guy.
The walkers group in a spread formation and head on. The lead man (in these clips it’s me) looks for a good set and the rest follow.
As the lead man gets close he clutches his stomach and falls to his knees. Then one by one the rest of the walkers follow. One after the other as the set walks past.
Reactions vary, but you can’t react to the girls. You CANNOT act in any way that makes them think you are doing it for their attention. You have to do this from a frame of SELF AMUSEMENT. When you go down you have to be in the moment. You’ve been knocked down and all you are trying to do is recover. Be an actor. Struggle back to your feet. Sell it and ignore the girls. When you get back to your feet, the first people you communicate with are the other guys involved. Let them walk away and let the photo taker do the work.
Usually the set laughs and walks on slowly, looking at each other to say ‘what’s all that about’. They WANT to talk to you now, they want to know more. They are curious. If anyone was to open them they’d fall open.
Enter then your camera man - he walks over (in these clips it’s our guy Burto) boldly, smiling, holding the camera and just begins to show them their reaction to the event. Simple.
All you have to do is to work the set as you would usually, with a pre-defined player owning the set and the rest of the guys acting as wing. You just take turns to be player. Or let the camera man be the player. He is the leader of men, this is his ‘Street Theatre Project’.
What happens after is down to you. Is high octane so we find a lot of kino routines go down well, hi fives, dance spins, thumb wrestling. Then you have to slowly build the energy down into a normal conversation. Bang – you’re straight back into a standard set.
Watch this clip for a typical reaction. This is a typical reaction. Watch the girls respond, clap, crouch down, run away and stand-off, they’re excited and see us as different, fun and dangerous.
Before you see the clip, again, you’ll see faults. When there is the stand off, I run over and get them involved. We take photos, we end up getting them to film the next open on their video phones. Some of them join in, etc, etc. But when I run over, you will see one of them runs away. Again – I am not saying this is perfect game, there’s lots to criticise. Remember – main reason is to get the energy up, second reason is to open sets.
The main reason being to get the energy up means you have to stay high energy. So do’t let the energy drop once a set is opened in order to game the set. Even if your high energy drives the set away, remember what your reason is – to get into a big state.
If you’re doing it purely for the open then you have to think of it from the other point of view. Match your energy to the set you open. You may have to tone down a touch to work the set.

These girls we ended up getting them involved in the next open and I number closed one AND when we went to a club later on – hey presto! Who was there and made a big fuss of us when we walked in....
TIP: Don’t crowd the set. Let the player (the camera man) work the set with a one wing or maybe two. The other guys have to stand well back and self amuse for a while. A LOT of people will be watching so they can easily open other sets.

We do this for an hour or two and usually get a few numbers, Facebooks and always get a bounce set. Girls often often often ask for the photos and it’s an easy FBook close. I have two girls visiting me from Malaga off the back of this.
It’s fun, it’s a bit different, it’s definitely good to get your crew jumped up and in state and I have dated several very very pretty girls from doing this over the past 18 months.
