so whats up guys. This is my first post and im hoping it wont be my last. Okay, so I still haven't completed the newbie mission per se, but I did try picking up a random girl today. So I'm at the park and I'm with two of my friends and I see an hb7 (although i later learned that her face wasnt that great). She is with her little brother (about 8 yo) and another little boy playing soccer, so i walk over with my two friends and it goes along the lines of:

Me:Hey
HB:Hey
Me:You want to play soccer?
HB:Nah.
Me:why not? (I realize this was a mistake right after I said it because it makes me feel needy and desperate)

HB:*mumbles*
Me: What, do you think you could beat me easily? Come on, 3 on 3, first to two goals wins.
HB:Alright. (while talking with me, I keep eye contact but she looks at ground or to the side)

Throughout the game, I remember saying/doing a few things:
"(while i have the ball) Come on, surprise me."
"i thought you were good what happened?"
" you should be the goalie, you'll probably be good at it"
Thoughout the little game, when i had the ball and she came to take it away, there were times when she somewhat laughed and times when she stole the ball from me but i didnt really have anything clever to say. Also, she spoke more spanish than english, and she often talked to her brother and focused more on the little boys. After a few negs, she stopped answering altogether. I did notice that i may have been a bit too competitive.
All in all, I think i negged her too often and not enough of positive comments. What do you guys think?
