A little about myself and the game. I am 18, just graduated high school, live in japan, Learning japanese, and have read the game two years ago. Because of reading the game I was able to get my first girlfriend, which may not have been the right move, but now I'm single and committed to learning this fully.
Today was my first real sarge, and had AA still. It was actually a town festival with many people coming from everywhere for it. It was my big start.
I first went there by myself, in hopes to meet some friends, but I couldn't find them. I decided I'll try a newbie mission of just hi to everyone. I remind you I am in Japan, so greeted some in the native language. At around 4 people, I couldn't say hi anymore. I was walking around the whole festival looking to open sets, but my AA stopped me... I ended up going home..
At home I looked for ways to get rid of my AA, and I found inner game tapping... I found the AA video and proceed to follow it. By the end I felt better, and was ready to meet my friends and try again.
Got there and met up with my friends. I then did a recommendation I saw online. Give my friend some money and have him give me back a $20 each time I approached a set... Gave him $80 and He gave me 40 mins. I was motivated at this point.
All of these approaches were in Japanese. The langauge I am still learning, but able to translate some routines well enough.
#1 Moving 2 set. Learned from my watching the "pickup artist" show, to walk faster than my targets and go over the shoulder. Did so and opened with an opinion opener. Was my first set so, I didn't know If said my opener correctly in the langauge... They did really say anything when I was asking, so after a minute or so I just ejected.
#2 Moving 3 set, moving towards me. I just walked up to them and said my opener. It may have been that they were younger than me, but we spent a good 5 mins just on it. I eventually asked for the correct way to say it, and typed it on my ipad. I used a GIMMICK, an ipad, when I asked for their emails. Usually when they see me take it out, they are really impressed, and Don't know what to say... I do try to neg my target, with "you don't seem good with technology". So after all of this it ended out taking around 20 mins and I had 3 emails.
10 mins remaining....
#3 Was a two set, and i just opened just cause. No real target. I just opened with, "i'm a japanese student, can we speak in japanese?" Then I FTC "I gotta meet my friends in a a bit" And i LOST the frame.
Girl: Where are your friends?
Me: There over there somewhere.
Girl: Can't you call
Me: they said they were there, but it because theres so many people I can't find them..
Then I played the 5 question game, and after that ejected.
#4 With less than a minute left I rushed and found a set of HB7.5s. and they were the same age. Opened with the japanese student, and asked what was a normal conversation... I started to play the 5 question game again. and asked for their emails. Got them both. Didn't really neg, because I didn't know how to say it in Japanese effectively.
After all of this I got my money back, and got rid of AA. The rest of the day, I was just opening for fun.
BONUS After talking all day I was tired, but when to the food court for dinner with my mom and dad. then... OMG a HB9 and her friend... I knew I had to open them. Before I did I had them finish their food, and made a bet of $20 if I got the HB9's #
I walked around so I could face the obstacle, while ignoring the target.
Opened with my own opinion opener I made. Which is more common? A guy getting his eyebrows fixed or a manicure? Then got their opinion, and sort of got shaken by the response. They said it was more common to do the eyebrows. idk japan. But after that I started telling the story of my bro saying he wanted to get it fixed, and How I started to bust on him because he did the same thing to me when I got my first manicure. Then that was the debate.
Before the story I sat down, while FTC. Once the story was over I did another FTC, by getting up, and started on the 5 question game. Played with the target and she lost on the third question. So Called her the Japanese word for 3. Moved myself to the targets side, and began to kino, by saying its okay that she lost and putting my hand on her back.
I then asked for their emails, then the HB's number. Got it. I did do something wrong tho. Didn't continue the interaction after the contact info exchange, and just left...
I called the HB in around 24 hours. Called her, the nickname and she remembered me. Before I started my phone game, wrote it out in a little format. Intro - Short story about lately i've been trying to go healthy - ask if she was free next week, but first showing i'm busy this week and weekend cause i'm going to tokyo - talk about my trips previously to tokyo. - done
I got to the end of the short story, and didn't really wait for her response if any. Went straight to trying to plan a day 2. She said she was busy next week, and I was again shaken... I didn't know what to say... then she re initiated by asking if my parents with american, I responded with now they filipino, and I'm full filipino. Told her she looked like a college student, but she told me her job. went through my format line, and told her i'll mail her. (I have her email, she doesn't have mine)
Now I'm thinking what to do next. I have her obstacles email as well, should I mail her too? I called her yesterday evening, when should I email her? She seemed interested, so maybe a few days wouldn't be a stretch. She is 20 and so older than me, does that make a difference?
I don't want to just think about this one HB, so I've been trying to email the other ones I got previously.
