Hey everyone i just stumbled across this forum earlier this week and have really enjoyed all the info

I am pretty much an AFC when it comes to women. I had a long relationship out of hs which ended terribly for myself and it seems like i can't get myself ouf of the rut im in. The thing is tho is that when i am at work i have absolutely no trouble charming the ladies, maybe because i view it as business? Anyways, i finally decided to join the forums after my blunder this evening which is as follows...

I moved onto campus this year and my roomate has been taking me around to a lot of parties, both frat and house. For some reason whenever i go to these things i completely lock up, not like a fearful lock up but having a hard time just keeping conversation with other guys, much less opening a girl and moving things along. So we go to this party and the first thing i notice is this HB10 asian girl who dances sexy as fuck. So im kinda hanging out in the corner trying to figure how im gonna open this set (she is with 3 other girls). So she starts wandering and my roomate ends up talking to some people next to her so i take it as my opening and walk over to him and start talking to him. My buddy opens the girl, introduces me, and then walks away. So i am standing there in the middle of this hot room with music blaring so loud i cant even hear and im talking one on one with quite possibly the most beautiful girl i have ever met and the conversation is like this

*draws a heart on my shirt* (highlighter party)
Me: Hey whats your name
HB: hi im ____ (smiling)
Me: its so loud in here i can barely hear you! what was that again?
HB: ____!!!
Me: Oh!! ok sorry!

and then i froze..LOL...needless to say i dont remember what else i said or she said mostly cause i coudlnt hear anything but it ended with her waying "nice to meet you" and walking away...by far my least finest moment..lol

Anyways, sorry about the long post but i could really use your guys's help! i got the book "the game" which i am reading through but what other kinds of things should i look into or try out? any help is greatly appreciated! thanks!
