| Awesome forum you guys got goin on here. I think I've already learned quite a bit just reading some of the on-going threads so I figured I'd introduce.
First off, I'm going to school in Rochester, NY so if anyone lives around there (Buffalo or Syracuse etc.) I'd love to meet up and learn some. Here's my situation:
Up until a couple months ago I was an AFC. I'm a good looking guy, which helps, but when you totally tool yourself over by attention-seeking and DLV with every girl you meet, a few good looks aren't gonna save you.
Now that I've finally stumbled across the almost forbidden community of PUA (seriously I don't think I've ever met anyone who knew about any of this stuff), I'm ready to improve my game.
As it is I'm standing ready to advance ranks and start sarging, but I really don't know what I'm doing. I know that making friends with at least one other guy if not several that are already good at sarging is key.
Unfortunately I go to Rochester Institute of Technology. While the Network Security major I'm in is top notch, the other guys here are certainly not. I'm consistently the best dressed/smelling of most of the guys I meet here. I'm not bragging though, these guys are just unbelievably sloppy. You know the type: fat, crusty beard, long greasy hair, XXL black T-shirt with dandruff on the shoulders, squealing and giggling about his online computer game.
Lets face it, it's a hopeless place to find any kind of role model. I'm not going to be learning any PUA from that. If anything, I've actually started paying more attention to my appearance and presentation in an effort to stand out (and as far away as possible) from these type of guys.
Don't get me wrong, there are a few cool ones, but that's not what PUA is about, which brings me to my next point: RIT is 75% guys. I'm not sure if this is a negative or a positive. On one hand, there are less girls to pick from and certainly not enough to go around, on the other hand after being bombarded by creepy stares and the worst AFC lines you've ever heard, these girls must be desperate for a guy who 'gets it' right?
I've also thought about saying screw this and signing up for ballroom dance or yoga or something at UofR. It's 5 mins away, has way more people, and definitely more girls. Make some friends there and get the party invites to THAT school.
Hmm I guess that was super long for an intro, but if you're bored there's some reading for ya. Look forward to learning from you guys. Keep the good ideas coming.
