Hi guys, I've been signed up and reading content for about a week now, and figured it was about time i started interacting!
I'm 22 from Leicestershire, UK and a complete newbie to PU.

I was never a very social person in school, I had friends, but would only see them during school, in my free time i was the typical world of warcraft geek. I've only had one relationship towards the end of last year, which only lasted about a month.

I'm now a lot more social than i was in school, I'm out with friends at least 3 times a week. Just over a month ago, a friend of mine lent me 'the game' to read through as he thought it would benefit me to no end. After reading the game, i felt like it had completely changed the way i saw social situations, I'd never imagined anyone would be in the situations that were portrayed in the book.

Unfortunately, the only time i've been able to open, is when i've been drunk, and have pretty much no fear, but also no chance of holding a decent conversation.

The same friend that lent me the game, also suggested hypnotherapy (he had tried a few years ago and it helped him come over his social anxiety). Personally, i'd like to avoid this because of the cost, but for the life of me can't muster the courage to do my first approach.

I know that most experiences comes from in field, but as i've found from my previous job, i work a lot better when i've got a rough script written out (obviously not ideal).

Anyways, I'm looking forward to learning more and getting more involved with things, and especially looking forward to my first approach!
