Hello everyone! I'm completely new to the game and discovered it about a half month ago. I'm 18 years old, have never kissed a girl nor had a girlfriend, unfortunately. I've never had a big social circle because I used to do sports at a very high international level, which meant I couldn't go out or have time to catch up with friends.

Over the last year, I have had a crush on this girl with a boyfriend. She's one of my best friends, and it has been hard to see her with someone else. I'm trying to get over her and move on, but it's just like I can't make myself do it. Do you have any advice for this?

Furthermore, I often get friend zoned instantly by all girls I meet, which is frustrating for me and that's why I started to get interested in the game so I can make an end to it. It's pretty easy for me to keep a conversation going and at the same time joking around, but I have a lot of approach anxiety when I meet new people, which is one of my bigger problems. Most girls like me as a friend, and I would classify myself as a big Mr. nice guy.

In conclusion, these are my problems:

- Terrible at showing interest/flirting with girls
- Bad at approaching/ a lot of approach anxiety
- Hard time getting over a crush on my BFF
- Bad at escalation
- I am a mr. nice guy

Do you guys have any advice to fix my issues and sticking points in my game? Which books/material should I read that can help me fix my problems?
