This concern pisses me off because it triggers the same gag-reflex that happens when I hear some girl who has read the first chapter of the game say, "These PUA guys are dangerous."
Some PUAs are Machiavellian and do not have the best intentions in dealing with a female. Some (and i believe the more advanced) PUAs appreciate/respect/celebrate women while celebrating themselves. Some human beings are "bad." Some human beings are "good." We are third-generation PUAs, and we run the gamut of ideals. The title PUA does not define intention anymore.
The same statement goes for female pick up artists.
One of the pillars of our community is "leave her better than you found her." Conversely, the female PUA creed must be "leave them better than you found them."
A woman should feel privileged to be hit on by a man who has spent countless hours studying social interactions and female attraction switches. Thus, a man should feel privileged to be hit on by a woman who has spent countless hours studying social interactions, male and female attraction switches, and probably a few Kama Sutra positions along the way.

As far as rules to pick up are concerned,
"Leave Them Better Than You Found Them"
ranks right up there with
"Bros Before Hoes" and "Never Pay For Their Steak"
in that they all get broken sooner or later. But of course we must all aspire to abide by these lofty ideals as best as we can.
As for embracing female PUAs: It can be intimidating for some men to embrace women who are strong in a field of study they both share. Traditional societal values---most of which still influence pick up Zip, even if we don't like them---dictate that the man be dominant and the woman submissive. That's why all the pressure is on the man to approach, to open, to carry the conversation, and to bounce to different locations with the woman...I wonder how many positions in the Kama Sutra have the man in a dominant position. This is also why some very intelligent women dumb themselves down in front of guys they like. Hopefully this is socially programmed behavior and not anything dictated by female psychology.
But as far as being intimidated by beautiful women who know PUA, my personal opinion has always been that they are just like women I interact with everyday, and yes they do run the full gamut of human experience.
