I am new to pick up artistry. I never thought I would be in this situation. I'm 39, about as divorced as a separated guy could be. I was with my ex for 23 years you do the math. So I'm doing the sowing my wild oats thing ass backwards. I need to change myself before I can attempt another LTR if I ever. I have much to learn both within and without. I live in the Phoenix, Arizona area. I am almost done with "The Game" I will be reading Mr. Strauss' other books as well as others soon. I'm sure there are some experienced PUA in my area that I could talk to and learn from.

I don't know what my success rate is yet I work 55-70 hours a week. I only got one night a week to go out and try. I was so intrigued by Mr. Strauss' book that I figured I would gain as much knowledge as I can shoehorn into my head before attempting to go out and approach women.

If you plan on gaming girls around your own age, it's a hell of a lot easier than when you were younger.

Welcome to your journey. You are totally right with doing work on yourself before ever trying a LTR.

If you'd like to get good in this area, use the 80-20 rule. Learn for 20% of your time, but DO 80% of the time.

Talk to women, and study them at the same time. Don't just fill your mind with all the info you can find, as that
will mostly confuse you.

Here are couple of steps you can take:

1. Start by tackling your first challenge, and once you've tackled it, only then move on to the next challenge.
So if approaching women is your first challenge, tackle that first before you start learning any advance stuff
like creating attraction.

2. Focus on building social skills first. Becoming good with women predisposes that you are good with people.
If you can't make an interesting conversation with a man, how will you make one with a woman?

3. Never stop growing. Some days you'll feel like you're not making any progress at all. But you are, you just
can't see it.

This is a wonderful journey, but it is also a long-term journey. Out of experience however, I can tell you it's worth
it.
