Hello everyone. I'm fairly new to the forums. I've had account just hadn't really jumped in with both feet until now. I've casually researched PUA, applied some of its craft in my interactions with varying success, but have decided to pursue it with more devotion.

I'm located in central KY, and am fairly uncertain as to pursuing pickup on my own. I'm thinking I need to draw a new crew of friends as mine are either married, seriously dating, or staunch puritans who refuse to change despite their relentless AFC status.

I'm taking swing dance lessons, recently started blues dancing, and have been invited to a local parkour chapter. I'm enjoying myself, but so far haven't kindled a group that's agreeable for a dating scene.

In any case, I'm deciding to sally forth solo however possible. I'm told going to bars alone is a terrible idea, so I haven't dared. I've initiated conversation with strangers with varying success, but the repeat situations- the cutie at the gym with her head down and headphones on, or the adorable Asian girl behind the counter at Starbucks buried beneath hurried orders- I haven't pursued. It seems any attempt would just be more of an awkward distraction, but I figure there must be a way.

I'm open to all advice. Personally I've found the most valuable input from the PUA community is rooted in a change of perspective and learning to adopt it. It seems that if you get the framework down, the details often will fill themselves in.
