I'm 44 years old and up until 5 years ago, I was depressed and heavy for over 20 years. I was fit all through high school and the first two years of college until I had a very bad breakup with my high school sweetheart, which caused me to balloon up to 480 pounds. I gave that girl so much power but it wasn't her fault because it was my choice to do that. I just needed to grow a pair of balls and truly become a man and I figured how to do that by doing a lot of soul searching and reading a ton of self help books. I did finally turn my life around and because of this, I also began going out a lot more with friends. One night when I was at a LA bar, I saw a good friend of mine pull a girl like it was nothing. The next day, I asked him how he did it and he gave me a copy of "The Game". At the time, he had no idea how that book would take me on a path that has improved my life immensely. For example, Neil Strauss said if you don't like something about yourself then change it and I did. I lost the weight and shaved my head because I was balding. I even began body building and I'm pretty fucking fit at 220 pounds.

So why am I here if I am doing so great? I am in PUA book mode. I've read a shit ton but have only mildly gone out and tried picking up women. When I say my life has changed immensely, I am talking about sleeping with women I already knew or was introduced to by other female friends. I've done cold approaches on my own at bars but I need a lot more practice in the field. I know this community is going to do wonders for me and if anyone ever wants me to wing or even take me under their wing, please hit this crazy Mexican up. If you fear that you're going to be hanging out with some old dude at a club, I look and act a lot younger than you'd expect.

My ultimate goal is to one day have that inner game that these PU gurus have and I promise that I'll always pay it forward. Much love brothers!

There are a lot of knowledgeable people here and it's a great resource when you're learning.

Don't get too bogged down in the theory and the material though - get out there and just do it. That's the most important thing... Learn from mistakes - it's the fastest way to becoming better at this (not reading books).
