Hy guys and gals I'm new to the forum but not entirely new to PUA,
I'm 29yr old, employed as a chef
and cohabitating with a friend who isn't (yet) into PUA
I am generally a happy, friendly guy to talk to, I can converse about many subjects however they are mostly a bit in the nerdie section.
I'm plagued by low self esteem when I'm around girls.
I had a few relationships and flings between 16-24 (highscore of 5 w two long relationships) but I've hit a terrible dry spell
I came into the PUA world via my former roommate which reccomended me "the Game" (by Neil Straus but you know that) around my 26.
Biology is my one lost love, I studied Microbiology but didn't finish. I have a passion for evolutionary science and human behavior and like to look a things from a scientific and cold/logical perspective.
I was also a raging AFC
DEVOURED IT, read about MM (Mystery), went sarging
But I was an absolute dork, I am/was? quite the shining Knight and the Nicest Guy you've met today. My inner game wasn't there for me to neg or give up on a girl.
Because of former relationships I was at a loss (or so I thought) for friends and I wanted the validation of a relationship or heck, a nookie, to much.
My self-asteem was low and I wasn't feeling like I deserved the hot girl, but still wanted her.
Which led me to doggie-walk around several girls, trying out game on them, being hopelessly clingy, but also going out a lot for a 2 year stint, which went the following:
I approached the technical PUA part half-assed and winging it, somehow confident enough I'd muster up the courage and wit on the spot. I'd memorize a few openers, a pattern, 2 routines and went out.
The first times I used PUA techniques I found the stuff actually got me somewhere! When reading the material and having it (finally) spelled out to you it already struck a note, but seeing it play out live and get response was amazing
Mostly I'd go with co-workers who where as much if not more AFC than me, and on occasion even hold me back(a little)
I'd sometimes go out alone, I found it an awesome challenge for my AA because you really have 2 options: talk to someone or just walk around in circles holding your beer like a tool. I've experienced both
Things I do:
I won't approach from behind.
I will smile.
I will be clear about me liking her in a non-friend way. (altough this needs work)
I will kino (on arm, hands, waist)
I will carry a condom
My fav place at the time was an Irish pub; I'd walk up to a Dutch set and start asking stuff like sights, relationships and fav places in an Irish accent, (no AA "what, I'm a tourist) which I can do quite ok. (but no value raising, selection or pro shit I could've incorporated mind you)
After getting some kino and a look or 2 I'd switch to Dutch, letting her get mad at me and trying to fix a date for the suggested venues, which usually #-closed. some kiss-closed
I also used the cube routine, dabbeled in NLP, got reasonable in pivoting from 1 set into the next, I like to pushpull dance, I can do some dance moves
I progressed as time continued, got quite some #-closes (like 30) some barflies, and a lot of flake 2nd's.
Actually, they all flaked, even the kiss-closes. 0 f-closes.
I kept sticking at middle-game because I felt I didn't have a connection with any of the girls, or much to talk about, even tho I was steadily employed and hobbied up.
Once I had run my 10-minute show and I got the # I forgot why I was there
No doubt you will understand this frustrated me to no end and I stopped sarging even tho I had 'some' game.
Recently I've been drawn towards the light yet again, and in a more concertious effort.
Over time I reconnected with friends, started to go jogging, grooming, styling and being a bit more aware about the opposite sex again.
I want to re-approach PUA with more focus and sticking to the lines and methods, actually becoming a confident guy who girls want to be with
Personal motivation lies in finding girls with the same kink as I do, I love to give pleasure, be it sexually or emotionally, and I want to (ofcource) find the girl or girls who give that to me to.
It's a pleasure to meet everybody, I'm looking forward to bounce around our thoughts on pickup
