First is to accept you have approach anxiety. Not repress it.

There are two ways to handle approach anxiety:

1. Open to girls with a very indirect opener. I'm talking about functional openers. Examples: "What time is it?" "Do you have a light?" "Do you know where the closest bank is?"

Or

2. Be bold and let the lions eat you. That is using a very direct opener. "Hey, I think you look cute." That way you will learn that even in the worst case scenarios, girls aren't that bad. You're still alive.

I have learnt to handle approach anxiety the second way.
