I am from India staying in New York for a couple of months now.
Like most of us here, I am here to build confidence around women and acquire great interviewing skill s for the future. Someone said that Interviews are just like dating. So, I feel if you win at dating... U win at Interviews.
I come from Mumbai, so talking to girls has never been an issue for me. I don't know if it is a mental block or whatever, but over here in NY, I get tongue-tied whenever I try to talk to any girl.
For me getting numbers though challenging has been possible, its the setting up the date and following up is what I suck at!
Sometimes I feel that me being an Indian may be an issue but sometimes I don't. It has happened that I have been talking to a girl for good 10-15 min, then her friend just swoops in and steals her away. Although rude, I think that's how girls are over here. Actually, i would be lying if I said that it doesn't mess up with my confidence. It does!!
In the past, I have been "lucky" with women but never been with anyone who I felt was drop-dead gorgeous (even back in Mumbai). There are lot of beautiful women in NY but few have the combination of being pretty and versatile personality.
So, I have joined this group to expand my horizons, conquer the "unconquerable", and develop a better mindset!
Thank you
PS: Any inputs on how I should go on with interacting with women in NY are appreciated!
