Names Eddie and I'm 19. I live in on the East coast of usa. The way I got into the game was from a friend of mine. I don't try often with girls and when I do, I don't even have the opportunity to try I'm just friend zoned to the point that I felt like I've mastered some kind of secret art. So a few days ago my best friend just gave me a copy of "The Game" and a link to this site and he was just like....go get your dick wet kid -_-. To be honest, I never knew there was a whole community of PUA that help one another out until I read The Game. Before that I just thought picking girls up was just one of those talents you're born with. This is my first week of gaming I can't say I really used any "appropiate" methods. I have never approached a set before, getting girls was a connection thing for me. As in I find out this cute girl is best friends with my friend so I ask for the hook up which I'm sick of doing. As for hobbies, I mostly game(as in video game lol) with my bros. My biggest goal was just to actually acquire a girlfriend, I've been single for about 3 or 4 years now and even then that wasn't much of a relationship because I only took what I could get. In general I have an amazing personally and I'm funny and cute..this is what the average girl tells me. I just dont give off that I want to date her aura if you understand what I mean + I miss some major hinting at times that ruined everything seeing as I was afraid to make a move. Another goal of mine was to fix my oneitis situation I have going. I've tried talking to other girls seeing as this girl won't budge but for some reason I just have a feeling that she may want to date me its just that I don't know how to approach her properly...seeing as this is getting long, let me just say farewell and also I'm excited to start learning the art of pickup!

I noticed that you are having trouble with many of the same things that lead me to start learning the PUA lifestyle. First I just want to say that if you follow the advice that the books (such as The Game) and the people in this community give you, you WILL make progress. I've only been working on this stuff for about a month and I'm already at the point where I can control my AA (approach anxiety). We are all here to help each other. In my opinion, a good way for you to get started would be to try the Newbie Mission. It helped me out a lot and I think it could help you.

The Newbie Mission that I'm referring to is where you go to a populated place, such as a mall, and simply say "hi" to everyone. The challenge says to say it to every girl that you pass but I say to guys, too, because it still helps get me socially comfortable.

I plan on giving it a shot. I'm one of those nice guy finishes last types and it just gets sickening after a while. I was actually going to give the newbie mission a shot next weekend. My best friend tried to tank me into the shark tank directly this weekend but it didn't go too well. Approaching single sets wasn't much of an issue for me but the moment I tried for a two set or three set it just wasn't happening lol. Thanks for the welcome!
