From reading a few posts I hear a lot of people discussing the failures/successes at gaming and I have come to a realisation that I cannot relate to many of those experiences simply because I am not attempting to open.
Why is this? Well, I think the fear of failure/rejection is causing me to over analyse every approach situation and ultimately come up with a reason not to approach. This is obviously a self defence mechanism.
I feel the only way I can overcome this programming will be to approach without expectations and try and have fun with it. By removing the expectation for successful approach I feel I might be able trick that part of my brain that kicks in and tries to protect me from getting hurt.
I am under no illusions that this will be easy, so if you have taken the time out to read this far, and know of any techniques geared towards this, I will appreciate if you can point me in the right directions. In the meantime, rather than waiting idly, I will be attempting to approach just for the sake of approaching, and also embracing rejection and chalking it down to experience gaining.
Also, as I said I am novice so if there is any fundamental flaw in my logic again pls let me know.
