Hey all. Just stopping by to say what's up and introduce myself to the community. I'm reintroducing myself to the game after just getting out of a three year relationship. Over the past couple of weeks I've been eating up every bit of information I can find. I've been reading on NLP, watching videos from all the great pickup artists (I'm partial to the cocky funny approach), and over the past week have been trying to put it together in the field. I was driven to join the forum because simply: this shit seems to work, it's down to a science.

Apologies if this isn't fit for the introductions area, but I wanted to share because this is why I'm here right now. A short, semi-success story...two Saturdays ago I met this chick and her friends at a club. Gorgeous girl, young and attractive, intelligent and humorous. I'm not a bad looking guy so I could tell she was physically attracted to me...I was missing out on IOIs because at the time I didn't know how to perceive them. My friends I went with just ended up totally overshadowing me. I danced with her once or twice but overall I couldn't close on anything, even a number. I was kind of frustrated, so I picked up The Game on the following Wednesday. I was hooked right away. I read ~180 pages that night and followed up the next day with about 100 more. So this past Friday night, one of my friends who got the number from this girl asked what her and her friends were up to. They were going to the same club and we were looking for something to do, so we met up with them. I had just finished a couple of chapters and did some recap like an hour before we met up with them, so things were fresh in my mind. As soon as I saw her it was like I changed gears. I had already built rapport with her group of friends from the weekend before but I chatted them up for a few minutes while ignoring the target and tossing negs her way. I accomplished more in the first 15 minutes this past weekend then I did our entire initial meeting. There were a couple more girls there this time, so I didn't feel bad shutting down the friend who had her number. He happily moved on to some other chick. To make a long story short, after using techniques I studied to isolate her from the set, then perceiving IOIs, dropping negs where appropriate and just generally making interesting conversation, we ended up on the dance floor for a long ass time. After that I got the number and kiss close. That alone made me a believer, but it didn't stop there. Saturday night she went to a friend's party. After she was done there she texted me and said we should hang out the following weekend. I thought back to what I had read in The Game, and changed it up on her. I didn't want to look like I was chasing her, so I brushed her off telling her that since she was too busy for me that night that I would probably be too busy for her next weekend, to neg her and make it look like I could take her or leave her. It hooked her instantly, and she said...ok, well let's get together tonight then. Two hours later, after a few beers, some humor and casual conversation she was on top of me naked in a hotel. Unfortunately, a bit too much alcohol plus her just being really freaking tight joined forces to totally screw me over, but I still had fun and learned valuable lessons, I'll close on that next time.

Anyway I apologize for being so long winded but again I wanted to share the story that got me here in the first place. For anyone else that's new who happens to read this, this shit works. Soak up the knowledge and make it happen. I look forward to learning from you all and eventually spreading the knowledge myself.
