I walked into a random pet store this afternoon with my dogs. Noticed that the cashier was beautiful. Asked her for some help. She turned out to be a trainer and we spent a half-hour together, playing with my dogs and talking about her life. No boyfriend. We share some similar interests. It was great. She was then called away and had to help someone else. These are the two scenarios running through my mind:

1. I just head down there some other day with my dogs hoping to see her, and I ask her to coffee.

2. Call up before closing today (as the iron is hot) and I say, "I didn't want to put you on the spot at work, but I really enjoyed talking with you today an was wondering if you'd like to meet me for coffee sometime?"

Thoughts?

I'd go there in person, man. It's definitely worth a shot if you feel you two made a reasonably decent connection and the worst thing she could say is a polite no. Hell, if I made a good connection with a cute chick at a pet store, I'd just go ahead and ask. Unfortunately, my local pet store has a old geezer who smells like rabbit shit scowling at me whenever I come in just to look around.

haha, yeah I think all pet shop workers are a bit strange and that smell is unbearable. I remember one young girl who looked like a rabbit with her teeth jutting out. If you found an attractive one working there she prob won't be there long so make your move!

If it were your regular pet store then you would be able to build gradual repore.
But it was a random deal, you could have came back in 20 minutes and strongly encourage her for the digits.
If you call her the next day the you waited to long. Don't hesistate next time.
