Hi guys, glad to have joined the site and am looking forward to sharing and learning with and from you all, a quick question that has been bugging me for a while now. Met this hot Canadian a solid 9.0 in Starbucks a few months back on a saturday. Now the place was deserted as it was around 9.30 am and I was sitting down with coffee on the phone to a friend when she plonks herself on a chair to the left with a law book in hand with no one else other than the staff around I continued chatting to my mate on the phone. Anyhow I get get off the phone and open with 'that's a pretty big book you got there, good luck carrying it out of here' I got a laugh and we started chatting randomly; markets, clubs, British eccentricities, yada, yada, yada. Anyhow I got the digits after about five minutes of chat and sped off. Fast forward to Wednesday when I send her a text letting her know I was heading out to Camden town market on Sunday where she could join me. I get no response until Sunday evening when she texted back saying she had 'misplaced her phone' (I know). Now what has racked my brain is that it's quite common for me to use text to follow up with women after the number close which seemed to work OK with British girls but maybe not so much with those across the pond. What's the general consensus on this is it better to call or text??

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the insight Hobbit much appreciated, I going try to start calling girls right off the bat and introduce convo and a maximum of two texts.
