Hey all,

I'm a 19 year old college undergraduate who just finished my first year, and what better way to introduce myself than with a story of my pathetic life! :)

When I was in high school, I didn't give two shits about anything. I got straight A's, and I cared nothing about what people thought of me. There was this one girl that I especially liked, though, and for the last two senior years there I could think of nothing but her.

At the time, I thought she was giving me mixed signals. She initiated conversation with me when we first met, she found excuses to touch me (pat my back, whatever. I never touched her back), she edges closer to me sometimes when we're next to each other, and constantly preened herself when we sat in class (I know these aren't really "mixed" signals but I'm an idiot, so...)

At the end of the year, when we graduated, she moved to the other side of the country for post-secondary studies while I remained here. I messaged her on facebook telling her I liked her. She said she was flattered, and we wished each other luck. I haven't seen her since.

Now, after realizing how moronic I was in high school, I went into university, made out with possibly 20 or so girls at dances and parties, and now have a quasi-semi-ish-girlfriend, somebody that a friend set me up with.

I don't want to screw this relationship up with this girl before it even begins. I'm here because I need help. I don't have much social anxiety, I can start a conversation with women easily, but I have no idea what to do after the opener. I her number. We texted each other about TV shows. She went on vacation last week and texted me before she left. I was still asleep and didn't reply until 3 hours later. Did I screw up? Help D:

...Anyway, it's an honour to be a part of this community. I look forward to learning from all of you.
