Good evening, everyone!

So...I was drunk the other night and googled "picking up women" or something stupid like that and stumbled into this whole PUA/seduction world. I'm intrigued. I LOVE knowing how things work (aka I'm a geek) and knowing how women work/what makes them tick piqued my interest. Looking forward to getting into this a little and seeing what happens.

Bit of my background: I'm a Tactical Networking Specialist for the US Marine Corps (like the screen name?) and I'm stationed out here in southern cali. (And I have a culinary degree...weird, huh?) My wife decided to tell me she wants a divorce a month into my Afghan deployment so I'm taking this opportunity to turn over a new leaf I guess you could say.

I've never been bad with women, really. I'm a decent conversationalist, I don't really get nervous and, come to find out, situational openers have been my weapon of choice for ever. I just never knew there was such a thing as an "opener". (Being a nerd, I'm big into smartphones...what's every woman have these days? An iPhone...being an Android guy, not only is this a fantastic opener for me but a nice neg thrown in for good measure.)

But, that being said, I find the transitions between the phases to be sticking points sometimes. Look forward to finding some good transitions.

Been reading a lot the past week or so (about half through The Game and I just started The Mystery Method) and I've learned a lot. It's very interesting.

Just looking to learn and have fun. Look forward to seeing what else I can learn!
