Hi everyone,

Been lurking here for a few weeks so I thought it was time to introduce myself. My name is Dave, Im 41 years old, married and live in the UK.

Now, some of you may be wondering why an old married geezer like me has been trawling these boards for the past month or so. Well the truth is I stumbled on this place because I had fallen for a girl who recently started working at the same company as me and was searching the net for information on how to get her out of my head and get rid of the feelings I was having for her.

After landing here and reading through a few of the threads, I began to realise that this forum was absoloutely packed with great information and advice. Don't get me wrong, I'm not planning to play around behind my wife's back by becoming a PUA (I feel way too old to be sarging pubs and clubs these days anyway)but the truth is I always have been and still am hopeless when it comes to being around women, even though I actually managed to get hitched. In fact, to put things into context although I started to go to pubs and clubs when I was 16 I didn't get laid until I was 26. I really was that bad. At one point in my late teens/early twenties I could barely look a girl in the eye never mind try and pull her such was my anxiety around them. I am better now but not much.

Anyway, I could go on but I don't want to bore anyone, suffice to say that I have learned more about interacting with women etc in the last few weeks on here than I had learned in the past 40 years. I have also found the answers to some long standing questions that had been gnawing away at me for many years. I'm going to carry on coming here for the forseeable future because I enjoy it that much.

Thanks to everyone who has posted advice and opinions, your info has been invaluable to me so far. By the way, thanks to some of the things I've read on here I'm already well on the way to getting over my obsession for the new girl at work!
