hi everyone,

im stephen, a 35 afc from western australia. I have just spent the last 10 years going through hard commitment to afford my first house where I live (mortgage is insane if you dont have anyone to share it with) and now find myself hating my life because I have pursued brick and mortar possession instead of what truly matters which is the relationships that make life worth living. Before the age of 25 also, I had not got very far at all with any women either, I couldnt understand them, but I guess also, girls between 25-35 can literally do whatever they want when it comes to dating so they can date any guys they want and dump them whenever and another is literally a phone call away.

Its time to move on with my life and pursue quality dating relationships with women (not necessarily 3 date fucks- I do want to be married with children someday). My last "somewhat" encounter was with a woman in indonesia met online, she was into me and I told her if we ever went on a date, it wouldnt be on videochat, it had to be for real. I was happily texting her one day whilst going through my local shopping mall on the way to the cinemas ajacent and saw many happy couples dining and going out together. I got bad anxiety and the next day told her I would no longer pursue an internet relationship. When she got pissed off about it, I simply told her long distance relationships are not real, they dont make me happy, even though it made her happy- any relationship is not a good one if one person is depressed, bullied or anxious about it and the other is having a great time. I wanted to be like the other couples in the cinema, going out together.

The other week I had my first real encounter since starting the "game". I was at my local aldi (supermarket) looking at thick blankets for winter. I had searched other supermarkets for similar items and aldi was the store with the best ones. Another woman was standing next to me looking at them; a short decently attractive asian woman (I would have most def gone on a date with her if I could- hb6 or 7 but im not picky). I said to her real quickly "if your trying to buy one of these blankets, Ive checked all of the other supermarkets, these are the cheapest but they are also good quality", she replied "yeah they are, but I want a different colour (to the ones aldi had)". Based on the comparisons at the other supermarkets I had made when I was shopping around, it could of lead to a good experience in being able to walk down there with her and show her the other stores blankets. But, anxiety got the best of me and I slunked away...

Im dealing with aa by doing things like when I am at the bus stop in my are there is usually pensioners (seniors) catching the bus. I try to talk to them about anything and also call them sir or madam out of respect. I find that seniors have all of the time in the world to talk to you and most likely anyone younger than them doesnt talk to them. People with anxiety should know that a senior will never try to call you a pervert, kick your ass for saying something wrong etc because they are old, they dont have the energy for that anymore. I also saw a pretty young woman helping an old man with shopping today, she may have been his daughter or nurse/helper or whatever, that could of lead to something there.

anyways, looking forward to making more posts later.

stephen

Sounds like you got the right idea mate, by practicing talking to strangers to build up your social and conversational skills.

Now you should start speaking to strangers who are younger, and hopefully female and attractive :) And remember:

It does not matter whether a move works or not - be a guy that makes moves.

You learned from your mistake, next time make a move and take a chance when an idea like that comes to you. Not knowing what would've happened is worse than if a girl politely doesn't accept.
