Mormon marriages are like regular society. Although there are big differences (no drinking, no sex before marriage) the general concepts are the same.

I'm in Utah, where the majority of the population is Mormon. Since practically everyone is looking to date for marriage, girls have some high standards. It's a tough dating environment because the general population is very homogenous (Mormon, returned missionaries, BYU, speak another language, republican, physically fit). I guess I'm looking for advice for how to stand out while still being myself and staying true to my beliefs.

The place to start when looking for girls or women, whether it be dating for marriage, or pleasure is approaching them. Then 'opening' them with conversation, and showing genuine interest in who they are.
