Hey everyone!

I'm Chris - 29 years old (30 in Jan ) and just recently got out of a 2 year relationship after I found out my now ex was on a dating site and apparently wanted an open relationship, but just didn't tell me... Now, I know there are plenty of fish in the sea and the relationship obviously wasn't right for me to stay with it, so I should just move on... But I'm finding that more difficult and am clearly more hurt than I previously realized. I don't believe that I am hung up on my ex, just more afraid to repeat the situation again...

I don’t seem to have any problem being myself, it’s just that who I am now tends to be more on the depressed / protective of my feelings side and that definitely comes off in person.

I know a big part of the game when I first started getting into it was that you shouldn’t be concerned with whether a girl is in a relationship or not, as most will cheat anyway. That never really bothered me because it stuck out in my mind that if you’re special enough and win the girl, she will return the favor by only seeing you – a relationship… Do you guys think all women cheat?

I guess what I’m looking for from this site is a bit of a confidence boost, and maybe some tips on how to not give a damn about women seeing other guys.
I don’t want to come off as needy, controlling, or just an AFC. I miss my confidence and ability to seem care-free.
I live in a small town, so selection isn’t huge but college is back and there are a bunch of fresh targets to practice with. My concern is first, finding someone I enjoy and then getting jealous. And two, getting attached to one of the targets who reside out of state.
I’ve always gone from relationship to relationship quickly without much dating in between, and the dating I did do I considered as getting to know one girl at a time…

Suggestions, comments, words of encouragement are all welcome…

Why would she want an open relationship and you don't? Here is a new way to look at it: what if you were so good with girls and your girlfriend wanted you so bad that she wanted a closed relationship and you didn't. What if it was her trying to lock down the relationship instead of you?

Why would a man lock a girl down? Because he was worried about other women swooping in and taking her right? But if you knew you were the best possible thing for a women would you really care if other men came along? They would only come in and make you look better in comparison wouldn't they? Just a new perspective to consider...

You gotta ask yourself why. Why wouldn't you try out all the flavors before settling down with one? If you are dating several at a time, they are going to show you what you like and what you don't, is there really a rush or something that needs securing if you are a badass? And if you're not a badass, then why not?
