I'm here cause im looking to regain my confidence. Im 23 now and wanst really a natural in highschool, but when i went off to college i blossomed, and became the person i wanted to be. I became a natural. I was arrogant cocky fun to be around and hit on any girl not caring what the outcome would be, things were great. I quickly got into a relationship with a great girl but made a huge mistake, i let her change me, and that change lasted 4 years (the length of our relationship) and im now trying to get back to when i was really happy, being full of myself talking to women and not giving a shit. You would think that with the things ive down i wouldnt be so shy, Im a boxer, im a guitarist/singer, i love riding my motorcycle, so you would think id have no trouble. But whenever i get into social places i quickly go back into my shell that i had worked hard to get out of, that she put me back in. Lately ive been going out more, and practicing smiling whenever i enter a place. I havent made any approaches but when sitting with a friend or by myself i could imagine what to say and how to say it. Any advice? its like jumping into cold water when youv'e forgotten how to swim.

hey bro - i think we all get that feeling once in a while

its about just going for it before you even have time to think about it - i make as many small approaches saying simple things as many times as possible just to warmup/stretch before i even start!
