I'm 22 from Wakefield but I'm now at University in Liverpool. I first read 'The Game' when a friend recommended it to me about 3 years back and is the only book I have read cover to cover off my own back, I just prefer to watch documentaries I suppose.
I have always wanted to try it out for myself but at the time I had a girlfriend. I did a little flirting with a few girls but nothing major or anything that would have worked. I have been split with my girlfriend a little over a year now and have had little if no luck with women, 2 below average women to be exact. When I was young I always considered myself to be confident and I could go up to girls and just ask for their phone numbers. I don't know whether it was easier back then because of the age or if I sort of lost my touch having a girlfriend for 3 year.
Since moving to Liverpool it has opened up lots more opportunities to meet new people however I just haven't known what to say to women when I've been out in nightclubs. I have had conversations with friends about 'The Game' as a few people I've made friends with have read the book too but none of them have practised it either. After talking about it I thought I'd look into it more and have started watching Neil Strauss' Annihilation Technique but I'm only a few hours into it. I've explained some of what I have learned to a couple of friends so they can try it with me too.
I went out on Monday for Paddy's day with a load of friends and was completely steaming but not so much so that I couldn't talk or function. I decided I'd try a few things I'd learned watching 'The Annihilation Technique' One of the first openers I learned was the 'who lies more men or women?' and to my amazement I was having full blown conversations with good looking girls and groups of girls and my mate was doing the same too.
I blew one chance with a girl by saying 'maybe' when she asked me if i had a girlfriend or not. I was trying to look unavailable and just didn't have a good enough response when she said I either had a girlfriend or I was playing 'hard to get'. A the rest either went wrong when they either saw someone they knew or had to leave. One girl ended up having a girlfriend and her girlfriend told me to stop chatting up her girlfriend up. I politely told her I wasn't shook the good looking girls hand and left. Oh I did try a couple of negs but the girlfriend who butted in didn't look happy.
Even though I didn't get a phone number or a kiss or anything further it was a major confidence booster knowing what to say to girls to first get their attention. I have since watched more of 'The Annihilation Technique' and have learned a few more techniques to use after openers and I'm now learning how to get phone numbers and kiss closes.
I'm looking forward to trying these new things out and progressing
