I read a couple of PUA books already, The Tao of Badass and How to Succeed with Women, none of which I paid any money for (one of the assertions of PUA is its all a money making scam). At first I had very strong opinions against PUA because of what I heard from other people, but after learning what its actually about, I think its mostly about becoming confident enough to approach women so you can actually talk to them. A lot of those burnt out on PUA say that it only works for attractive guys, not ugly guys like their selves. Even if they are as hideous as they project their selves to be, no need carrying those hang ups with them. Even those suitable hunchback girls they could be getting will be repelled away by their self defeating attitude. I think the trick is to talk to any girl you like without it being so outcome orientated. It should be less " I want this girl in bed tonight" and more "I want to talk to her and maybe take it in a romantic direction".

I'm here though for advice to make sure I don't make basic mistakes when going on dates or meeting girls.

dont brag about not paying for material that you are here to learn from. It doesn't make you look cooler.

I'm not bragging, not am I trying to look cool or deriding anyone who pays 20 bucks for a book. I'm simply pointing out that its a misnomer that PUA is some big money making scam and that everyone into it is spending massive amounts of money. Its just common sense laid out like any other self help literature.

I dont believe PUA is in any way "common sense" I also dont begrudge anyone producing helpful material from making a buck, I'm not the socialist occupy type.

Of course there are some hucksters out there who recycle others materials and re-brand. Their initials are VDC and another rhymes with Logan Edwards
