I used to post on here a few years ago, but stopped for various reasons; primarily because I had recently quit drinking and was in a 12 step programme and the advice I was getting from my sponsor, although not directly with regard to practicing the art of pick up, suggested that I stop. I also got quite interested in spirituality and spent half a year volunteering in a buddhist retreat centre, so the direction my life took was away from PUA.

Getting into the game
I was turned on to the game like many people, through Neill Strauss's book "the game"; I then searched the internet for info on PUA and came across this site. I was living in Iraq at the time, on a US miliatary base, so my scope for applying stuff was fairly limited; I did apply it a little and saw the positive effects it could have. I read a few different things on PUA and came across the gunwitch method which seemed to be a bit closer to what I was looking for, as it didn't seem to give rise to as much internal conflict with regard to spirituality. Despite not keeping up with PUA material, I did take a few things from it which I continued to use, with certain limited success.


Where I am now
Fast forward a few years, I'm now living in South Korea; I moved here about 7 months ago for work - English teacher like a lot of people; I'm no longer doing the 12 steps but I'm still off the drink. My spiritual practice has started to slip a lot in the past few months, but that is more to do with my lifestyle in Korea. I want to try and make a concerted effort to get back into it though, as I see it as essential for my happiness and well being, and I also think it can be a major help with PUA and the idea of "relaxation of mind pace and body" and "relaxation of orientation outcome" as per the Gunwitch method.

Age & Goals
I'm 29 now, but will be 30 in November. I've never really had a very dynamic sex life; until I quit drinking it was almost non-existent; since then I've become more confident and more interested in cultivating a better sex life. Like I mentioned, with the aid of a few basic tips - Kino in particular - I've had some limited success; I'd like to seriously improve on that though. I would like to get to a stage where I am confident enough to approach any girl that I am attracted to and be able to confidently flirt with her. I want to be able to manage expectations well, also; if possible I don't want to have to give the impression that I'm looking for more than I am; in all, I want to be more confident and relaxed around women and be able to have fun with them, instead of being a typical AFC.


Hobbies & Passions
I don't know if I would be passionate about much to be honest;in the past few years I've developed an interest in spirituality and science and enjoy discussing those topics. I'm into sports, although I don't play that much any more; soccer is my favourite sport and I follow a team in the English premier league.

I like to go out and have fun, and I want to do more traveling; a good night out for me involves hitting a club and spending a large portion of the night on the dance floor; sarging is also becoming an integral part, although I need to brush up a lot before it becomes completely enjoyable - when it works its great, but when I fuck it up it can really get under my skin - this is where the practice (and spiritual practice) comes in.

Congrats on finding a spiritual center - many can't do this. The same with curbing drinking...

When you've developed your own game - you can still incorporate techniques and skills developed from the PUA community to enhance your life without compromising your principles. I'm 45, divorced for 2 years now, and since that divorce I've not only returned to my PUA roots, I've delved deeped than I thought humanly possible.

I've always been the over-achiever type. From when I was in the service, to rodeo to now. And with PUA - it's scary-easy, and I'm scary-lethal. I slept with 36 women last year, and I'm at 27 for 2012, thus far.

BUT - I don't lie. I tell them up front what I want, and the conversation goes from there. I'm a sexual person. I don't hide from it, I've allowed it to not be an issue - I'm honest about it and give the decision to her as much as it's my decision.

As for the drinking - kudos. I've always been a lightweight with drinks, and I'm comfortable with that. I don't use any chemicals in my system when I go to a club. NEVER drunk sarge and I never will. The only thing I'll do is smoke out before I head to the beach to swim in the ocean - but that's a time I'm not out sarging... I will sarge later that day when I'm done and stop by the grocery store on the way home....

Game works. The object is to make 'game' your own internal, and intrinsic game: a natural thing that requires NO thought, only action - BUT - something you can break down and analyze later on with clarity. THAT is game.

If you'd like someone to bounce things off, look around, find the guys who know their shit, and start a conversation. There are many here that know their game inside and out, and can break it down, just as there are many utter-fucking-novices who are hell-bent on getting their opinion down on paper... Their computer knowledge is funny, regurgitated Neil Strauss crap, or Mystery-clone-like as well. You'll see all kinds...
