The more you post the more you # to the left moves up. Also you can earn points with people voting you up. As far as Zealot and stuff like that, it moves up again with points and when Moderator's take notice of good quality posts and things like that.

I see, so I had a 1.7 previously, now I got a 1. Did I loose points? How does one loose points? bad advice?

I see you got 50+, so I should look for you here than huh.

You can add or subtract points by clicking the buttons to the left but honestly I don't know what qualifies as points lost.

The Reputation points are based off # of posts primarliy and then also vote's you receive from other members. Thats where you can click the +/- and give some of your points to another member.

As far as "ranks"... thats a number of posts thing. Over 50 you are an enthusiast, Over 100 an addict, over 200 a zealot.
