I'm Ner0, and I'm an 18 year old college freshman in Worcester Mass. I'will be honest about why I got into pickup: In highschool I worked my ass off and didn't have a social life. I had some friends I guess, but I never really hung out with them. It got really bad, just working on robots and doing homework all day. By the end of senior year I was sick of it, and that's when one of my good friends told me that he had been obsessed with pickup (I think he used to post here actually). I had always thought that PUA was just some cheesy title that gave creepers an excuse, but I did trust my friend. Besides, I was already in college and bored as hell. So I read The Game, and it pretty much changed my life. I realized that most PUA's were just other normal guys that wanted to be more social and better with women. And somehow, learning about pickup gave me the confidence to get my social life in order. I started making alot more friends, talking to more girls, going to parties... pretty much everything that I thought I had missed out on in highschool.

Now I've been able to carry that to college, and things are going really well. I have a ton of friends, I've started dating, I've joined a fraternity- it's even helped me get involved in non-social stuff that I probably wouldn't have done without pickup. So yeah, over the course of a bit more than a year It's really improved my life.

At this point I'm just curious to continue with pickup, learn more, and see where else it will lead me (not to mention that college is an excellent place to pick up girls), as well as give back whatever I can. After all, I haven't really known about it for a long time, and I've already seen a massive improvement in my life.

I consider myself natural. I hate the Idea of pre-canned material, and have pretty much just avoided it (Improving myself so far has mostly been a confidence deal). So the PUA who I have learned most from is Juggler, since he advocates being completely natural. I also, like him, think that you should be able to improve all aspects of your social life through pickup, and not just getting with girls.
