This is the first step then yeah. On a long road. Not just women. The life. The way. The future with all its knots and pickles.

I am 44. Did someone coin the AFC term just for me? A decade married being Mr nice guy. I got my just deserts: an affair from her with an imitation of the guy I used to be. Confident, dedicated, directed, ambitious, self-sustaining. You can write the rest. She's with him now.

On my side, not all is lost. No money, but a place to live, happy being with my two young children, good looks, the outline of a life project. Health.

It's all recent. I'm getting to end of the rabbit in the headlights phase. Now there's two options:
  • be bitter, spend the rest of my days complaining how she ruined me
    laugh my fucking socks off, get out, and be chuckling me again
I'm edging towards option two. Waddya reckon?
