just wanted to say hey to the forums and needed some advice on something. I'm on the taller side of things at 6'9" and decently built (235lbs), I really didn't start noticeing until recently how much it's been effecting my chances(college 1st year). It tends to intimidate more than help, is there anything that you taller guys out there do or any tricks to help me? With maintaining my posture and not slouching i tower over most people, any insight is welcome.

First of all, you're a lucky bastard for being so tall, women love tall guys! Erik Von Markovik a.k.a "Mystery" is Incredibly tall and just look where that has got him! You'll be seen by every girl in the club and that's were you've gotta dress into something that they'll find something interesting about you, Read some peacocking books or ideas.. check out this video

You've just got to play the hand you're dealt. Don't slouch; hold your head high and chest out. You've got a slight edge over most beginners; tall people are a more powerful and commanding presence than shorter people, and this plays well in PU. At 6'9" 235 I'm assuming you're on the skinnier side (235 was my football weight and I'm only 6') so clothes that fit you may be difficult to find (I have a terrible time; I'm very long-limbed with a short upper body) but its in your best interest to get some that do. Don't wear baggy or widening (anything that widens your body) clothing, this will only make you look awkward or intimidating. If you aren't thin, then dress to thin yourself. In general no one is intimidated by a tall skinny guy.

Your height also opens opportunities for negs and openers. As a neg you could be talking to an HB and pretend not to hear something she said and say "Whats that? Sorry, I couldn't hear you down there" or as an opener bump into someone (lightly, don't go bowling anyone over there Goliath) and say "Whoops, didn't see you down there." The opener is sketchy but the neg is pretty solid.

Just go with it bro, I know plenty of guys (myself included) that envy guys with your height. Hope this helps.

here's a small specific trick:

when you go up to a group of people who are sitting at a table, squat down so you are on their level. I even do this and I'm 5'4" to not intimidate people I approach or look awkward. You aren't slouching, you're upper body is fully extended, but you're not towering over them and making them feel threatened.
