I was having a debate with myself on whether or not to send a txt msg to this hb so when she woke up she would have a msg from me saying..I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY!! Is that AFC or DHV???? |

I am not the master of all things text. But let me tell you what I think. Girl wakes up in the morning, does whatever the fuck girls do in the morning. Then she sees her phone with the message you typed. I can't see this as good or useful to you. A good rule I use is would I want everyone in the world reading that text. I never use emoticons. Texts to me are auxiliary for scheduling and logistics. On the other hand, if she was a virgin and you broke her in the night before, then yes - that is a case when I would send that message. (I speak from experience in that case) |

I have a rule I use. I don't text until at least 3 o'clock unless she had texted me first, then I respond after 15 to 20 minutes. But, the text seems like you're SCREAMING at her, like "listen to me, I'm telling you to have an amazing day, don't you like that?" seems kinda needy in my opinion. That's just my take though. |

Yup. Nobody likes the strong smell of needyness in the morning. But then again, if you had a real strong interaction and wanted to establish some confort that might be a way, but never the less I woudn't text her with what you where going to. |

Sounds totally AFC to me, especially if you do it in all caps.1. It shows that she's the first thing you think about in the morning is her. Have you nothing better to do? Does James Bond wake up in the morning thinking "OMG that girl was totally hot I should text her"? 2. She's supposed to wonder whether you like her or not.. so when you tell her she's all you think about, she thinks she already has you and loses interest. Remember the cat and the string. 3. Wishing her a great day is very AFC. When was the last time a hot girl wished you a great day? 4. Writing in all caps makes you look stupid/mildly retarded. |

Fireball's response was spot-on. That's the most AFC thing in the world. Look at Facebook for example. 100's of guys write this kind of stuff on hot girl's walls as comments or as actual posts. It screams AFC and I guarantee all these guys who do this have no clue that they've dug themselves such a huge hole into the friend-zone. God forbid they get ahold of this girl's cell phone number. That will be the nail in the coffin for them. Just when you think there's no way the friend-zone hole can be dug any deeper, they'll fire off that "HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY" morning refresher. Then to their dismay, there's all of a sudden gonna be a trap door that opens on the bottom of that hole! LOlz |

as a general rule never use all caps when you are texting. it either comes off as overly exaggerated or really desperate/needy. |

did she sleep over? or did you spend the previous day with her? in either cause I still would of not left her a text in the middle of the night so she can wake up to it. |

I dont 100% agree with all the posts above... I sometimes send a "Good morning angel" - type text in the morning Nothing more/nothing less.... and you know what, its not AFC (maybe cause i have the right frame) but i guess these texts depend on what you say and how your interactions have been |

Theres nothing wrong with a good morning; its just the way you worded it came across as needy an AFCish.. "I hope"?? it just sounds like your craving for attention from this chick. Always ask yourself, What would SPAM do? It sounds wierd and funny but its more true than not. That text message had no substance or purpose in being sent. What else would be the motive in sending that other than, I just wanted her attention?
