Whenver I get a number from a girl, I usually get it through numerous methods; but my favorite one that has NEVER failed me is this one: "So what are you doing this weekend? Just eating ice cream and watching TV? lol (a good neg, by the way)" "No, I have to do...(blah blah)." "Well it's not more fun than what I'm doing." "What do you have planned?" "I might be throwing a house party. I'm home alone this weekend and I might invite over some people. You're more than welcome to come." "Sure, that'd be great." "Alright, let me get your number and I'll give you a call." Is that still considered a pickup? What if the girl just wants to party but isn't interested in you, as a person? What do you guys think? |

I have had many pickups like this- They are very generic and simple but can obviously get you laid  Personally when I have been picked up this way i will not show up if im not interested, or not attracted to you. But some girls are different, if a girl is bored and her friends say " well if hes not cute , its free beer" and maybe he has cute friends"  So you will find out when you shows But this is def not a 100% close. |

Alright, so Chelsea says it's not 100% close, but Shurgs says it is. I trust Shurgs' opinion, but Chelsea seems to make sense as well. I'm still confused lol. Is this a pickup or not? |

Well it depends are you just collecting numbers or are you getting laid that night? Most guys can say they are having a party my boys will be there bring your girls. And get her number. Now calling her and her actually going to show is a whole different animal and then closing on her when she gets there, now thats a "CLOSE" to me. But if you are just collecting numbers to put in your top drawer, and you consider that a close then IM on a whole different game field. |

I'm not really interested in the girls. I just get their numbers, and throw them away that same night lol. This is just like a hobby for me. I ALWAYS get their number; but I was just wondering if this is still legit 'cause I'm not sure if it's a close or not. So like I said: I'm not really going to call, I'm just trying to get a close. |

ICE, Bibby huh!?! thats funny.... lol Yea chelsea I knew he didnt mean he wanted to bang her, he just wanted to know if the way in which he approached getting her numbder counted. HEs not going to beg her to come to the party bc if he does then he is needy... he doesnt care if she comes or not... |

A guy calling the girl doesnt mean hes "needy" or desperate. And I never said to beg her to come to the party. I thought it was very generic. But thats my opinion. And next time to have her wanting to come to the party, and actually showing up. I dont see the reason for just collecting numbers. But thats why I say I pick up girls for different reasons. |

lol I just see it as something that I can do in my spare time  I have a girlfriend, so I'm not going to call, obviously. But as long as I get the number, I feel like I still have my options open in case something happens with my current girlfriend. |

You're going to build yourself a bad reputation. I'm not saying I don't get numbers that I throw away because at the end of the interaction I lost interest, or just didn't feel a connection, but if you are doing this in places like school, or within circles of friends, then you're just gonna end up being considered a douche.
I can do in my spare time I have a girlfriend, so I'm not going to call, obviously. But as long as I get the number, I feel like I still have my options open in case something happens with my current girlfriend. |
