i've read a lot of articles about if a girl asks u for the time, then its an IOI,
but what would u respond if she asks that?
i can't think of a response other than giving her the time

She is just asking you for the time!!!

BUT, you can open her at this point... you can say something witty like


give her the time and say why am i late for our date? i thought i was right on time!

That might work.... though it sounds a little too much like a pick-up line for me. If she thinks you're giving her a line, you're done. I think you'd be better off responding with something slightly more subtle like, "It's only <blank>, so you've got plenty of time." Or something like that with a cocky smile..... and then you game her.

Yeah, when a girl asks you for the
time it doesn't nesecarilly mean that
it's an I.O.I.

Tons of girls ask me for the time, but
it's 'cause I'm wearing a watch lol.

Anyways, you need to remember one
thing: DO NOT GIVE HER THE TIME UNLESS
SHE WORKS FOR IT!

as lovedrop said: "Don't jump in her hoop
until she has jumped in yours."

In other words, make her work for what
she wants, then you can give it to her.

After that, give her an opener, like:
"Are you late for a date?"

Most likely, she'll just says "no," giggle, and
reply with why she asked you for the time.

Take it from there. If you says she's not late,
tell her that you need a female opinion on
something, then go into an opener.

Example: "A pal of mine really likes this girl. She
got wasted at a party and ended up making out
with another girl. Should he be worried?"

And go from there.

i know its way canned and played to death, but i think its more of a contradiction to my personality

i cant really explain it but i never have and never will use them, i find it easy to open without them

yeah and thats why i dont use textbook openers

yesterday for example my car was in the shop and i was waiting in the front of my school for my cousin to pick me up

i was sitting on a stone ledge listening to my ipod, a friend walks by, we chat for a couple minutes, have a couple good laughs

after he leaves i throw my ipod by in my ear and this hb9 w/sunglasses sits abou 4 feet away from me on the same ledge, bare in mind there are benches and other places to sit, so a signal goes off in my head, PROXIMITY ALERT...i also said hb9 with sunglasses because big sunglasses can make a 6 into a 9

so anyways, i take off my ipod

me: can i make a guess you are waiting for a ride?"
hb9: yeah i am, i dont have my car today
me: oh yeah well we are in the same boat, mine is in the shop
hb9: what happened?
me: broken windshiled, im waiting for my cousin to pick me up, you will know its him because his car is crap(smile)
hb9: blah blah blah
hb9: oh theres my ride(its a cheap minivan)
me: oh for a second i though your ride was mine(neg with a cheesy smile)
hb9:*laughs* blah blah...okay well i'll see you around
me: yeah maybe...later

i didnt number close, i have no excuse to why i didnt, but i didnt try so w/e

Not bad, though I'm liking it.

When she asked for what happened to your
car, that would have been a GREAT time for

If she says that, you probably don't want to mess with her anyway. If you straight out give her the time w/o her doing anything for it . . . her thoughts of you will be (he's a wuss/not interested/not attractive). Something like that. He's not ALPHA, therefore I'm not interested.

you may be right... if your in a club. if she's asking for the time, SHE IS ASKING FOR THE TIME, lol, it's not that hard to understand. all it does is give you the chance to open to her easily. don't overthink it.

It may be an IOI, it might not be. it depends.
