Post subject:  Advice on solving this puzzle....
Quick background,

I've known this girl for a while now and we've always gotten on well. During that time I was in a relationship that I wasn't 100% committed to.

About 6 weeks ago I was out with friends and ran into the girl. We ended up hooking up and I went back to hers.

At that point I realised my current relationship was over, so the next week I broke up.

I then met up with the girl again a couple of times and things were looking pretty good. We went out one Saturday night and ended up back at mine where we slept together. She was just as close and happy the following day but we didnt see each other for a couple of days. We had a date lined up for the end of the week but I get a call on Wednesday from her which basically went along the lines of;

"You've just broken up with your gf... things are moving way too fast... not comfortable with the situation... can we stay friends?"

So a couple more conversations and she is telling me that it is basically a timing thing. So I agree to let it lie and remain friends.

That was about three weeks ago. Since then we've chatted a few times, just friendly stuff over email.

So basically I am wondering where to go from here. I really like this girl and want to see if we can have another go at it.

I've been thinking about whether I just cut off comms for a couple of weeks, or continue friendly chatting. And whether after another couple of weeks I simply ask her out for drinks again.

I guess I am also worried that what she has told me is a bit of a front and she just isn't that in to me. But I think the signals I was getting was that she was really keen.

Good advice but its a bit more difficult to do over email than in person. I dont want to appear like a AFC by calling her all the time, and we dont hang around the same groups so an impromptu meet is unlikely.

I am able to flirt, be sexual, escalate, push-pull etc in person, but when it comes to email it is usually pretty dry.

Any advice on flirtatious / sexual jokes or other stuff I can write her?

When it comes to online game my deal is just one huge freestyle, I just send whatever I think is funny and don't really care if she replies or not. But I always try to meet them in person as fast as possible....

You have a better shot seducing her in person than behind a computer screen. But that's just my opinion.

I agree. go along with the friendship and just keep escalating. don't move too quickly at first, but make sure you get there.

think of that weird boiling a frog metaphor (if you put a frog in boiling water, it just jumps out with minor burns; if you put a frog in warm water, it falls asleep while the water comes to a boil)
