Okay, so I have a somehwat challenging situation. I work in a restaurant that has an environment that makes it virtually imossible to talk to any co-workers for more than ten seconds (at least if you're doing your job). We are staffed nights with between 10-20 servers and we all get cut (told we can go home) at different times.

Thing is, there's this HB 10 working there, and, like the rest of us hard workers, she doesn't really talk much with the staff. I got my first opportunity to hold a conversation with her today because, in a rare turn of events, we were cut at the same time and our sections were next to each other. So, while cleaning our tables I just started chatting her up a bit. But, as expected, our convo was cut short.

So, my question is: what should I do? I'm not sure how to make anything happen since it's so difficult to even make comments to each other, much less hold a conversation. Plus, this HB 6, the restaurant flirt, has focused her attention on me and is really going after me.

Plus, to be perfectly honest, (despite fairly good self-confidence) this girl (HB 10) is so incredibly attractive that I feel a lot of AFC insecurities inside. I brush them away, but it makes the ol' 3 second rule very hard to follow.

So I just feel like I'm in this really difficult place, and any suggestions would be helpful. If you need clarification on anything, just ask.

Well it doesn't look like there is much you can do in this situation. I'm assuming you work in different sections of the restaurant, or it would be fairly easy to talk to her. I remember when I worked in a restaurant a couple years back I was a dishwasher, and I worked with two other chefs in the kitchen. We could generally talk and work at the same time. But, the good looking waitresses would only be able to talk for like five seconds when they came to place orders / get food.

So, I understand your difficulty. To be honest, all you can really do is work with what you've got:

1. You work with this girl. So, you're access to her is every day.
2. Limited access. This is the catch; you can only see her for seconds, literally.

Work on first impression and 10-second game. You need to be able to convey an attractive, interesting, fun, and enticing personality in ten seconds or less.

How do you do this?
Exactly. There isn't really one solid step by step guide on how to make a good impression in ten-seconds or less, but here are some general principles to follow:

1. Smile.
2. Make eye contact.
3. Body language is essential. Let me repeat that: BODY LANGUAGE.
4. Stick to your ten-seconds, unless she insists that you talk longer.
5. Be genuinely interested in her.

These are some generally accepted principles that will help you make a better first impression and use ten-second game even if it isn't a first impression that you are making but a second impression or third impression or so on.

For more info, read into opening, mid-game, closing, building rapport, time constraints, body language, eye contact, and cold reading.

Good luck!

Thanks, I appreciate your reflection on the situation. I'm trying to figure out what to talk about during those ten seconds. I guess it's just up to ranting aobut irritating customers for the time being. I'm trying to come up with negs, but it's really challenging. I had one yesterday when she forgot Butterfingers have peanuts in them, lol.

I have this at my workplace, I work at quite a busy nightclub and we rarely get chance to stand and talk to each other.

Basically the way I've played it is to have a "running joke" going on. For example with one of the barmaids who, on her first shift with me, managed to always seem to be in my way - so i pointed it out. Now every time she's near me I can quickly joke to her by saying "oh my god, you're in my way again?!?" or "i'm sure you're doing this on purpose now"

There's also one that knocked into me a couple of times; so I keep telling her she's a bully. Now she plays along and playfully punches me in the shoulder while she walks past me.

Then it's just a matter of waiting for that opportunity where you guys get longer than 10 seconds to talk to each other to go for a #close

Ah, I love the, "Stop bumping into me!" thing. I actually tried that out on an HB 8 at my job, and it worked nicely until I discovered she was in a relationship with a guy at this same restaurant. I really respect him so I just let it go, and, oddly, I felt uncomfortable doing it again. But you're right, I've gotta whip that one back into the arsenal!

Okay, tried some of that tonight at work. It was fairly effective. The HB 10 wasn't there, but I "practiced" on everyone else.

Of course, then I get a table with two beautiful girls. Great, now I have to figure out how to be professional and flirty at the same time. Anyone have any ideas on how to flirt with customers without getting in trouble?

Complaining is a universal way of having a conversation with someone you don't know very well, because complaining is something that everyone does, so it makes the conversation mutual. But if you complain too much about your life and your problems and things that affect only you, then the girl will likely get bored. You can tell that she's getting bored when she starts to say "Yeah, that happens to me too..." or other ways of turning the conversation to her side of the table.

Remember that everybody likes to talk about themselves. As a good addition to this advice, everybody loves a compliment. So, in this short time with this girl, why not compliment her (follow basic PUA rules, why not compliment her shoes or shirt and not her face or tits?) and talk about HER problems, not yours.

She is a hot server, the best approach I say is to DISQUALIFY DISQUALIFY DISQUALIFY. That is the only way she is going to start openly chatting with you and not think you are just another dude in her workplace trying to fuck the shit out of her. Also, I would use the HB6 as a way to transition into talking to the HB10 and disqualifying yourself even more.

After that, just start gaming her. A lot of servers always drink together, especially if they work together. See if she drinks, invite her out with you and some of the other staffers. Not much you can do except follow the same shit that works with every other bitch. I just feel with most hot bitches you have to disqualify the shit out of yourself before they will let their shields down.

QUESTION: Wouldn't showing interest in the HB 6 (maybe even an HB5, honestly), be viewed as a DLV?

I like it. I'll see if I can make it work.

Showing interest is different then openly welcoming attention from women. I don't mean date the bitch, or sleep with the bitch. I mean show the HB10 that you are used to female attention, you can handle female attention, and that you are a high valued guy. This doesn't mean fucking everything in sight, it means have a lot of female orbiters, just like the HB10's have tons of male orbiters.
