I'm a 17 year old PUA. Junior in High School. I think I'm doin pretty good. My only problem is sometimes freezing out about approaching, aside from that I'm good. Anyway, that's not why I'm posting. I've had many successes and failures, and it really bothers me when I game a girl, it doesn't go right, and then I have to see her face for class every day. It's just awkward. How do I handle this? |

Can I ask you a question? Are you using PUA to conceal your identity? Are you not confident with who you are as a person? Is there someone who is telling you that you are not good enough? Or has your past experience alone led you to believe this? Sorry to be so "opera" but I'm trying to figure something out, and I could use your help. |

I find myself agreeing with Crystal here. It is only as awkward as you are going to make it, act normal, be yourself, laugh, crack jokes, hit on other girls. If you start getting attention from all the other girls in class she might have second thoughts about her original impression.
Anyway, that's not why I'm posting. I've had many successes and failures, and it really bothers me when I game a girl, it doesn't go right, and then I have to see her face for class every day. It's just awkward. How do I handle this? |

Bah! One of the worst things about high school game. If you fuck up, it isn't just "Oh well, I'm never gonna see that person again." If you fuck up, you have to live with it every day for the rest of the year and perhaps all of high school. This is why first impressions are so crucial to master in high school. It can be hard to alter someone's initial impression of you, which by the way, is made before you've even said "hello". Anyway, that's not why I'm posting. I've had many successes and failures, and it really bothers me when I game a girl, it doesn't go right, and then I have to see her face for class every day. It's just awkward. How do I handle this? How do you handle it? You have to move past the fact that people are going to fuck up. You will fuck up, I fuck up, Style fucks up, and the girl you approached has fucked up. A lot. Shit happens, roll with it. This is terribly cliche advice but I'm afraid it is the sad truth. You have to roll with the punches. Okay okay, so that's the abstract attitude you have to adopt in order to feel better about these mistakes and get over the fact that people will judge you. Now what can you actually do about it to make it better? Don't quit. Not just on yourself, but on this girl. Show her that you're not going to be the guy that accepts defeat and cowers in a corner shunning himself from society. Show this girl that you are strong and that you can live with mistakes. Show this girl how strong your reality really is. Let me give you an example. At a school dance near the end of grade 10, I met a group of attractive girls from the school on the other side of town. That other school is known for having all of the good looking girls from town, and this group proved that theory correct. These girls were gorgeous. Here I was, this AFC chode dancing the night away, staring at this one girl I singled out from the group. I wasn't as AFC as some are; at the time, I didn't think as much about social situations before acting. One of the girls saw me dancing alone and came and danced with me (wasn't the girl I liked) and afterward I went and talked to the group of girls. They were all pretty cool and everything, so they asked me to hang out with them the next week. I showed up at their place, and that's where it started to go downhill. I said about five words the whole night. I was afraid of making a fool of myself, and wasn't willing to risk my social safety to try to say something. They definitely noticed it. That was the last time I hung out at the girl's house. After that, I kept writing on this girl's wall on facebook, saying things like "Hey, what's up?" and "We should hang out soon." I asked her out to dinner, to movies, to hang out, to parties. Everything. And she blew me off, every time, pretty harshly. Last summer though, a year after not talking to her, I decided to talk to her again. I remember that redeeming conversation I had on msn. It started with a simple "Hey, what's up?". It went on from there. I got her laughing (virtually, but whatever) and she seemed interested. Then after a week or two of persistent talking and chatting, she asked me to hang out with her. So we did. Then, eventually, she told me she liked me. Then, we went to parties and hung out a lot more. Then she was asking me on dates. Then she was talking to me on msn. Then I had the upper hand. At that point, I had turned the entire relationship around. I went from being a nobody loser chode chump to a high value, funny, outgoing, attractive and enticing guy that this girl wanted to be with. I ended up being the one who lost interest in her. Remember; no impression is final. People can change. Check out my thread on High School Game; lots of good advice in there. high-school-game-vt61637.html?highlight= |

Thanks itll be real helpful for not only me and the threadstarter, but the community as well! Thanks She loved talking to me, and we began to chat online almost everyday. She started texting me a lot, and we talked more and more. Then, after about a month, she finally said something like "so, are we ever going to hang out?" I said sure, and we went to the mall together. After that, we chatted and hung out all summer. We'd have six hour msn conversations (we live about half hour apart, couldn't always hang out) and we'd have video chat and everything. It was actually good fun. Here is one of her posts on my wall on Facebook from when we weren't on good terms: "hey, not to be rude or anything, but i barley know you, we hung out at the dance once, and u came to ____'s and we didn't even talk. So im sorry for my asshole friends that lied to you..." then, after gaming her online for a few months, she posted this: "I was creepin' on our wall-to-wall today (lame), and I realized what an ass I've been. Just thought I would apologize for that if I haven't already. K, thanks." Anything can happen. Trust yourself. |
